SimpleDnDMapv3 Feedback

The players who played my map were Bennie Ksiazek and Fernando Uribe Hernandez. Bennie played Rogue this time around, while Fernando played Ranger. Something that went right with this playtest was that the players, despite the challenge being greater this time, seemed very motivated to take on the monsters. They engaged in fights with them, while also considering small strategies as to how to minimize possible damage they might take or maximize their damage dealt. It was very entertaining to watch them try and utilize their items in conjunction with their regular attacks based on whatever opponent they were dealing with at that moment.  Another thing that went well was the progression of the map. The map was fairly straightforward, but both players were somewhat exploratory in terms of going in directions that were not essential to the main objective of the map. Something that went wrong was that unfortunately, the players were unable to experience the second level to the ma...

Bennie Ksiazek and Pablo Flores Moran played my map, once again. Bennie played Mage while Pablo played as a Ranger. I think that the playthrough of this map progressed much smoother than the previous playthrough. I was able to rectify all of the issues which I had noticed upon their first playthrough. Put simply, there was not a real reason as to having that many paths when exploration was not the main focus of the level. In addition, the multiple paths created a gameplay experience in which the players did ...

12 February 2023 Bennie Ksiazek and Pablo Flores Moran played my first DnD Map. Bennie chose to play as Mage and Pablo played as Ranger. I think that something that went well was that both players did not face any major challenge in progressing through the level. Normally, the aim would be to introduce challenges to the players and force decisions, but the role of this map was to act as a tutorial for the players to get acquainted with the game system. The progression of the map was good–the players were forced to interact with the environment, by way of breaking through locks and choosing which way to move at forks in the road. However, there still was room for improvement. The player was given the choice between three different paths towards the middle portion of the map. That opportunity of choice itself was a good implementation. The players had an opportunity to have a different gameplay experience based on which path they took. But, because the main objective was to introduce th...
